Born in Austin, Texas. Raised in the cultural melting pot of Houston, Texas, moved to the less-melty pot of Arlington (yes, still Texas) in the high school years. Majored in Art History at the University of North Texas in Denton (little d), graduated and moved to Dallas (big D) soon after. Married Jonah three weeks before shipping off to live in Brooklyn to go to graduate school in Visual Arts Administration at NYU. Our son Charles was born in Brooklyn in 2013 and had more than a little to do with moving back to the homeland, where both sets of grandparents still live.
